Reading update

Just wanted to give you an update on my reading progress…LOL! Believe it or not I have been managing to sneak some reading in! I have finished all of the Anita Blake books that have been written thus far. I have finished all of the Sookie Stackhouse novels thus far. I have finished all the Fred the Mermaid series novels this far. I have finished all of the Twilight series books written this far. So, I am anxiously awaiting the next books for each of these series. In the meantime I have to take a look at my Shelfari page and figure out what I’ll be reading next!

rough day!

Well, I didn’t get much rest over the weekend and I can’t believe that it is only Tuesday. I am really tired at work today and the clock seems to just be ticking by so slowly. :( I actually went to bed around 8pm last night. That’s what happens when you go out of state and don’t get any rest before you return to work, I guess. I did happen to get a lot of reading in though. I finished Bloody Bones, book 5 of the Anita Blake series, and The Killing Dance, book 6 and Burnt Offerings, book 7. I am now reading Blue Moon, book #8. I must say that these books are really action packed and interesting. I can hardly put them down! :) I also found a new service called Shelfari. It’s a virtual book shelf and it allows you to enter all of the books you’ve read, plan to read, etc. It allows you to create book reviews of the books you read and they are shown in your very own shelf. You can connect with other readers by joining groups and have talks about books there. I think it’s a really great site and I’ve already joined. It’s free, so why not?! I will be trying to incorporate my book links in the sidebar sometime soon, but if you want to check out my shelf you can find it here.

Hi out there! So I’ve decided to move over to wordpress for my blog; to share my ramblings about life in general, my artwork, etc. I’ve done quite a few digital art pieces that you can view at my flickr site http://www.flickr.com/photos/rossgirl1/

Right now I haven’t been doing much artwork because I’m back in school to get my Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications with a Concentration in Digital Design. I have been doing a lot of catch up on my reading though. Since I had the baby I hadn’t really had a lot of time to squeeze in reading, but in the past few months I have read a ton of books!  I have read the whole Undead Series by Mary Janice Davidson and I cannot wait to read what Queen Betsy will get herself into next. LOL! I have also read the entire Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris and I enjoyed those immensely. Right now I am reading the Anita Blake books by Laurell K. Hamilton and I must say they are very intense and action-packed. There are 16 books in this series and I am on book 5, Bloody Bones. Anita is a vampire hunter and an animator, a person who raises dead people as zombies. If you haven’t read this series you really need to pick these books up! My most favorite thing right now is an Anita Blake comic book that I just got in. Apparently the books were created into comics by Marvel and I just ordered Issue #1. These are also great. The illustration alone is worth the $3.00 I paid for it. So far there are 12 comic books in the Guilty Pleasures set and I am trying to find them all.
